Every now & then, a guitar originally sold here at Truetone makes it's way back to us years later.  Rarely does 16 years go by and it comes back in nearly the condition it left in!  This fantastic Gibson J-45 from the Historic Collection in a beautiful Vintage Sunburst finish is one of those times.

The J-45 is one of the most iconic acoustic guitars, and perhaps the most popular Gibson acoustic. The sloped shoulder body shape is comfortable, well-balanced with a particularly excellent mid-range, great for performing and recording. This guitar features a AA Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides with a medium C shaped profile one-piece mahogany neck.  Also, this model comes equipped with a Fishman pickup/preamp system, providing the opportunity to amplify for live performances.

This instrument was built in 2005 and was released as a limited run of only 670 instruments worldwide. This guitar truly evokes everything you'd want from a guitar from the Historic Collection. No detail is sparred from hyde glue for the joints, vintage-style fret wire, Kluson-style tuners with white buttons, and a nitro-cellulose finish. This everything you'd want from a vintage style instrument. The tone is warm and full, with great projection. If you want an instrument that truly shines and worthy of being from the Historic Collection, then this guitar is for you!

The guitar is excellent condition, almost surprisingly so for one that's 16 years old.  The previous owner barely ever played it, which shows in how nice the finish still is, as well as the neck & frets.  It's all original, and comes with its original hardshell case.
