Used 2017 PRS Core McCarty 594 Soapbar Limited 10 Top Black Gold Burst with OHSC

Back in the year 2017, PRS came out with a guitar that they hadn't shown the world yet - the McCarty 594 Soapbar. It was made as a limited production run, with orders open only from July 11 to August 31, 2017. It was a hit right off the bat - eventually becoming part of their lineup as a different version. For many, it's all about this original run, which has become quite sought after.
As part of the PRS Core offering, this McCarty 594 Soapbar Limited brings the best of American craftsmanship to the table, with a refined look and extremely versatile capability to those that plug in.
The guitar's name comes from its 24.594" scale length, designed for optimal string tension and warmth. It has a "Pattern Vintage" neck carve, featuring an asymmetrical curve that is slightly thicker on the bass side and thinner on the treble side, designed to feel just like an old 1950s guitar. The bound rosewood fretboard is adorned with the classic bird inlays, and a 10" radius for easy playability and bending. For the body, you a slightly thicker mahogany back with a carved figured maple top - and this one is a 10 Top, with a premium wood set chosen. It truly looks amazing under the beautiful Black Gold Burst finish.
Originally, the guitar had Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90 pickups. However, the previous owned replaced them with a Lollar P90 Staple Soapbar set. Based on the original 1950s Staple pickup, these are more articulate and product a higher output. You still get a crystal clear top end. We found them to be a nice upgrade, especially for those that need a bit more punch and power out of their P90's. These soapbars have a many usable voicings. Two volume and two push-pull tone controls, plus a three-way toggle switch located on the guitar's upper bout, given you complete control.
The guitar is rounded out by a PRS 2-piece cast zinc stoptail bridge and PRS Phase III locking tuners. The previous owner swapped the tuner buttons, so this guitar now has cream buttons (which we think look better!). The original chrome buttons are included in the case. Speaking of which, the original hardshell case is included.
This McCarty 594 Soapbar is a special guitar, and not an easy one to find. This one was taken to the next level with the Lollar Staple P90 pickups. It's in great condition, has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, and is ready to go.
