Used And Vintage

Enjoy great semi-hollow tones and a lush gloss finish with this 2023 Gibson ES-345 Gloss in classic Vintage Burst! This is the definitive benchmark for semi-hollow body tone, combining undisputed heritage with modern Nashville craftsmanship.

Originally designed as a hybrid between a solid-body electric guitar and a jazz guitar, and was intended as a middleground between the ES-335 and the ES-355.  The ES-345 has been made since 1959, and to this day remains a favorite amongst players that want the classic feel and sound of an ES-335, but with an upgraded look.  Of course there was the version with the varitone switch, which often was removed.  This right here is in the classic styling with the traditional controls - not with a varitone switch.

The foundation of this legendary instrument is its 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body with a solid Maple centerblock. This classic design provides a rich, airy resonance of a traditional archtop with incredible sustain and feedback resistance. Wrapped in a gorgeous nitrocellulose high-gloss finish, the Vintage Burst subtly highlights the wood grain. Featuring a quartersawn Mahogany neck carved into a highly sought-after Rounded "C" profile, this guitar is simply comfortable for hours of playing. It hits that sweet spot of being substantial enough for complex jazz chording, yet fast and sleek enough for rock and blues bends. The bound rosewood fingerboard has a comfortable 12" radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and is easy to play - this is a guitar you won't want to put down.

Here's the unique twist:  interestingly, this ES-345 has a soundhole label that says ES-335.  At first we thought it was that but the specs clearly show that it's an ES-345.  We sent the serial number to Gibson directly and they confirmed that it is, in fact, an ES-345.  The interior label was a mistake apparently.

Sonically, this 2023 powerhouse is loaded with a pair of calibrated Calibrated T-Type humbuckers, designed to replicate the legendary, articulate "PAF" voices of the late 1960s. Hand-wired with CTS potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, the electronics offer incredible transparency and nuance, allowing you to clean up your tone beautifully right from the guitar's volume knobs. To ensure every ounce of resonance transfers to your amplifier, the hardware features an aluminum ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and a set of vintage-style Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons.

This is a world-class, professional-grade legendary workhorse and perfect for any style of playing! It's in great condition and comes with its original hardshell case.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.  So if you're looking for a very cool ES-345, you've found it!
