Used 2021 Fender American Original 70’s Telecaster Custom Vintage Blonde with OHSC
A Fender American Original 70's Telecaster Custom in a beautiful Vintage Blonde finish just waltzed in, and we're thinking it may dance out of here quickly. This model was only made for a few years, and have been hunted on the used market since then, especially in this color. The model is pure vintage, with the modern playability of a 9.5" radius and narrow tall frets for easy bending.
Fender went all out in making this a fat tone machine. Fender hired legendary humbucking pickup designer Seth Lover to create the distinctly Fender-flavored take on a higher output dual-coil pickup. The resulting Wide Range pickup used large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe rod magnets to achieve its unique and brilliant sound. The guitar guitar also features a calibrated Tim-Shaw-designed ‘70s Telecaster single-coil bridge pickup. The two pickups balance against each other very well.
Controls include individual volume and tone for each pickup and an upper-bout 3-way toggle switch. Other touches include original-era body radii, vintage-style hardware - including F logo tuners and bullet truss rod adjust and a lacquer finish that lets the wood breathe naturally with resonant tone.
This guitar is in excellent condition - the previous owner was obviously very careful with it. From what he said, he barely played it before deciding to go with a 50's style Tele. It comes with its original hardshell case. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, and is ready to go!
