Used Fender Limited Edition SoCal Speed Shop Stratocaster Signed Electric Guitar with Case

Here's something you won't see often, if ever these days:  up for grabs is this incredible Limited Edition Fender So-Cal Speed Shop Stratocaster.  This is truly a unique piece that you're unlikely to find anywhere else - esepcially since it has been signed by So-Cal Speed Shop founder Alex Xydias, as well as legendary hot-rodder and designer Pete Chapouris, who helped re-establish the business and became president.

The history of the So-Cal Speed Shop actually ties in nicely - it was founded in 1946, the same year as Fender.  The idea came about during World War II.  On the day of his discharge -March 3, 1946 - using some borrowed money, Alex Xydias opened the first So-Cal Speed Shop on Olive Avenue in Burbank.  It stayed in business for 15 years before closing up shop, but the legend lived on for decades.  In 1997 Pete Chapouris struck a deal to bring it back and ran it until his untimely passing in 2017.

In 2004, Fender partnered with the So-Cal Speed Shop for a limited edition run of just 600 guitars, which is what we have here.  This showpiece Strat is finished in an eye-catching  design that looks striking and super cool.  Just because it is a showpiece doesn't mean you can't play it either. This SoCal Speed Shop Strat features a single hot Alnico humbucker, single volume knob and hardtail bridge.  It's stripped down, hot-rodded and sure to turns heads. 

FYI, the signatures on the guitar are protected by a clear plastic adhesive decal, so you play the guitar without fear of rubbing them off.

This is a collector's dream piece worthy of any collection, and a perfect guitar to represent Fender's Southern California heritage. This instrument is in excellent condition and comes with a Fender hardshell case.   The techs in our shop have set it up play perfectly and it's ready to hit the road.
