Plug in and thump away on one of the most iconic basses ever made with this incredible Hofner Contemporary HCT-500/1 Violin Bass!  This is one of the most iconic basses ever made - here's a chance to score a nicely upgraded version.  It's a semi-hollow body bass is lightweight, comfortable, and has truly distinct tone.

Here we have a great one - this is the working man's beatle bass. It’s been modified (here at Truetone) to be like Paul McCartney’s as close as possible. It has genuine Hofner teacup knobs and a strap button for the bass. Also, a genuine leather hofner Beatle bass strap system has been installed just like McCartney's.

From the Hofner Contemporary Series this bass is based on the iconic 1964 "Beatle Bass" popularized by the legendary Paul McCartney. The Violin Bass body comes with a laminate spruce top with flamed maple back and sides. There is an internal center block crafted from solid spruce to for sustain and feedback resistance. The 3-piece maple/beech/maple set neck comes with a Jatoba fingerboard featuring traditional dot inlays and 22-frets. This has super comfortable 30-inch short scale length. The Sunburst finish is classic.

Feel the authentic thump of this bass classic with two original Höfn er H511B "Staple Humbucking" pickups. Easily find your favorite sounds with its vintage-style control plate loaded with two independent volume controls topped with classic Tea Cup knobs. It features a Rhythm/Solo switch for an instant volume boost alongside individual pickup on/off switches. 

This bass is outfitted with classic hardware with classic nickel tuning keys, an ebony bridge, and nickel trapeze tailpiece. 

The bass also includes an upgraded Hofner branded Hardshell (which also has a sticker on the case that reads bassman). It also has been set up with Labella flatwound strings for the true Paul fans!

This Hofner bass is in excellent conditioned, setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is ready to roll.
