Vintage 1964 Fender Jaguar Candy Apple Red All Original With Case
If you're looking for vintage cool, get an icebox. Then place your favorite drink in it and you'll love it. Ready for vintage bliss? Here it is. This vintage Fender Jaguar's story began at the original factory in Fullerton, CA, made at the peak of Leo Fender's era before he sold the company to CBS. The Jaguar is the smoothest cat in the jungle. This vintage piece from 1964 demonstrates that perfectly.
Fender guitars from the 1960s came with a fine piece of Brazilian rosewood for the fingerboard, and easy to play maple neck, and resonant alder body. This one has it all, with the original Candy Apple Red finish intact. It's aged nicely over the years, with a beautiful patina, and wear in all of the right places. This guitar has all of the vibe you could ever ask for.
Everything is original on the guitar - pickups, pickguard, bridge and all of the other parts. This is the real deal. What is not is the case - the original one went missing years ago. The guitar came to us in an orphan case that didn't fit right, so we've assigned a nice, new Fender (G&G made) hardshell case to the guitar to protect it.
This vintage Jaguar plays like a dream, and sounds like one too. This 24-inch scale length design is tailored specifically to the preferences of fast-paced surf-rock guitarists and players with smaller hands, yet its appeal has grown to encompass many guitarists. Despite this guitar being nearly 60 years old and getting good usage, the neck is in great shape and it has plenty of life in it. No issues there.
Its two single-coil pickups are designed with a narrow frame for a hot, powerful sound with reduced electrical noise. Boasting 8 onboard controls, the Jaguar's circuitry is the most complicated of any Fender model, allowing users to easily transition between rhythm and lead tones. For those who know how to put it to use, nothing beats it. We plugged this one in and were blown away by the tone that it produces - like a truly classic Jaguar of course, but with a surprisingly versatile palette of sounds.
Pre-CBS Fender guitars are getting harder and harder to get, and a Jaguar this cool is a special find. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly and is ready to go. And go it will, likely very fast!
