Used And Vintage

If you're looking for legendary Fender tones with plenty of power this Fender Super Reverb from 1972 is it! This Silver-panel era amp pumps out 45-watts of tube tones with plenty of clean headroom.   You don't see a lot of these around, especially not as nice as this one.

The Fender Super Reverb comes with two 6L6 power tubes, four 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 12AT7 (preamp/reverb/tremolo), and 1 x 5U4GB (rectifier). This gives the Super Reverb its iconic tones with a glassy sparkle, slightly beefier midrange, punchier, tighter low end and quicker response when compared to other amps in the silver-panel lineup. You get plenty of control of your sound with controls for Bass, Treble, Middle, Volume, Reverb, and Speed and Intensity for the Vibrato. That's not only do you get those warm tube tones but you also get spacious reverb and lush vibrato.

With its quartet of 10″ original CTS speakers you get an excellent spread of sound.  This amp has plenty of headroom for crystal clear clean tones, while still being able to achieve a nice, natural tube breakup at reasonable gigging volumes when pushed. A great sounding, versatile amp with a classic vintage Fender tone.

This version is considered one of the more desirable for vintage Fender amplifiers of the era.  It features the traditional non-master volume circuit (prior to the late-1974 changes). So, it retains much of the legendary, pristine clean headroom and natural tube breakup of the coveted 1960s Blackface models.   You get a pure signal path, without the the master volume pot and subsequent "pull-boost" circuits added later in the '70s, and the preamp remains clean, transparent, and uncluttered.  Part of the charm is the dynamic breakup.  Crank the volume to get to break up; the power tubes distort naturally, yielding a creamy crunch rather than the harsh, buzzy preamp distortion the resulted with the master volume models.  The 1972 circuit layout is close to the legendary pre-CBS AB763 circuit; many players look for a Silverface amp like this to modify to exact Blackface specs, which can be done by swapping just a few component values

This amp is in great condition especially for its age and it comes with its original footswitch and amp cover.  It's all original too.  Recently vetted by legendary L.A. amp guru Greg Leon, it's in perfect working order and ready to go.  Altogether is it's rare find.
