Vintage 1978 Greco EG-500 Standard Cherry Sunburst With Case

Up for sale is one of the best kept secret guitars for great feel, tone, and more, here's this lawsuit-era Greco EG-500 Standard in a Cherry Sunburst finish! This guitar was crafted in 1978 in Japan and it is a remarkable instrument. It has everything you want from that classic double humbucker single-cut design.

This Greco features a maple top with a slab mahogany body. This tone-wood combination is legendary for providing excellent sustain with snappy tones. The top is expertly bounded with a nice vintage age to its cream binding. You get a comfortable set mahogany neck with a slim profile with rosewood board with the iconic trapezoid inlays. 

Of course the real soul of this instrument is the tones pumped out of its pair of humbuckers. These pickups give you thick, articulate tones that can dirty up gracefully. That's right there is no style of playing or gain setting that this guitar is not perfect for. With its individual volume and tone controls, there are a wealth of tones available to find. This guitar is a real knockout its hardware has some nice aging. 

 

All in all if you're looking for an LP-style guitar that was made with no compromises this one is for you. It's in really good condition, especially considering it's age, and comes with a hardshell case.   The techs in our shop have it setup to play perfectly.  The truss rod doesn't have room to go further but it's already playing great.  We don't see many of these coming through, especially not as good as this one, so we don't see it staying here for very long.
