Vintage 1978 Sho-Bud Maverick Blonde Pedal Steel Guitar With OHSC

For those wanting a top quality steel from a top maker, fully intact with the original legs and case, this is a serious find. Take the time machine back to Nasvhille 1978 and get it going with the Sho-Bud Maverick.
The pedal steel guitar became popular during the mid-20th century, influencing country, jazz, swing and other music genres. This is a console-type vintage electric steel guitar Sho-Bud model and features a magnetic pickup, 10 strings and knee levers that alter the pitch of certain strings, enabling complex musical arrangements.
The Maverick came out as Sho-Buds answer to the call for an affordable pedal steel that was relatively easy to use. While designed with the beginner in mind, it was used by a wide variety of players and became quite popular. We can see why, and obviously they were built to last - this one is nearly the half century mark!
Made in America, this Sho-Bud Maverick is a great find. The instrument is in great shape, especially considering its age. Everything is a working order, original, and rather clean. The original hardshell case is included. We had this one a few years back, sold it, and now it's reappeared here at Truetone - we're kind of happy about that, and will be sad to see it go again!
