Vintage 30s/40s Gibson TG-00 4-String Tenor Acoustic Guitar Rosewood Fingerboard
Excellent sounding guitar in gorgeous vintage condition.
This Gibson TG-00 4 String Tenor guitar sounds fantastic!
One of the most beguiling sounds you'll hear will be coming from this small-burst Gibson tenor's voice. These early TG-00's are exceptionally lightly built, and when down-tuned to octave-mandolin tuning they offer a stunning bass, cavernous echoes, and a rich, lush treble response.
For many a songwriter, a down-tuned tenor guitar is the ultimate muse -- something different than the 6 string they might be accustomed to, but not so different as to get in the way of the song-building experience.
The incredible looking natural aging/checking and patina on it is spectacular! The original banjo style tuners work great, and the beautiful rosewood fingerboard lends to the warm full sounds of this instrument.
