Originally introduced in 1964, the Fender Vibro Champ is a 5-watt, easily portable amp that packs a punch. This version was only built for a few years, (64 - 67), until the new Silverface amps came out. It's based on the original champ, but with a tube tremolo circuit added.  It quickly became a favorite of players that wanted classic Fender tone in a small box, and over the years it became studio staple and heard countless recordings.

This amp is definitely one of the coolest small amps Fender ever made. With its unique tremolo circuit (Fender mistakenly called it Vibrato) this is certainly one of the the best sounding vintage Fender amps. The “blackface” Fender Vibro Champ was one of the few amps produced by Fender that its circuit actually remained mostly untouched throughout the years. This is also the first Fender amp to have an effect built right into the amp.
