Joe Pass grew up near Jamestown, Pennsylvania, and later moved to New York City where his innovative and fluid playing, extensive understanding of harmony, and endless supply of melodic ideas were immediately recognized. One of his most notable achievements was his work on Norman Granz's Pablo label, located in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, Pass collaborated with notable jazz musicians such as Les McCaan, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, Oscar Peterson, Herb Ellis, Ray Brown, and Milt Jackson, showcasing his exceptional talent.

Joe welcomed the opportunity to have his own Epiphone model and his Joe Pass Emperor II is a stunning guitar and a fitting tribute to a player who was a great teacher and a great inspiration to players around the world.

This guitar is a hollow body instrument with no compromises in construction, tone, and style. It is inspired by Joe's very own favorite Epiphone. You get a pair of Alnico Classic humbuckers for big, full, round tones. Perfect for any style of playing but really shines in the jazz department. Speaking of style and tone this Joe Pass emperor comes with a vintage-style gold tailpiece and Grover machine heads.

This is a beautiful hollow-body with big tone from a jazz giant.  For those looking for one on a great deal, the search ends here.
