Fender Custom Shop 1955 Stratocaster NOS Violin Burst

 
This Custom Shop '55 Stratocaster is testament to that, featuring everything that you would want in a classic Strat, plus modern playability, a unique color you don't see very often, and an otherwise all-tradition design.  We chose to do this one in Violin Burst, with the NOS treatment.  There's no relic working or aging - this Strat is as clean as it would have been the day it left the factory 7 decades ago.  While we love all of the finish treatments that the Custom Shop offers, most of what one sees out there is some version of a Relic.  We've noticed that more and more customers that do custom builds with us choose the NOS route - so we decided to do some ourselves to offer up.  That's the genesis of this amazing guitar.

 

Now is the part where one should take a pause from reading to carefully inspect the photos, which our trusty photographer did a great job on.  You'll see the beautiful AAA flame maple on the neck, and be sure to check out the exquisite grain on the ash body.
 
Fender Custom Shop Custom '54 Strat pickups authentically recreate the clear tones and heightened sustain that made the Stratocaster the most revered guitar in rock history. These single-coil pickups are crafted to faithfully replicate the cutting tones reminiscent of the original Strats.  Features include:

• Formvar magnet wire for brightness and glassiness
• Staggered hand-beveled polepieces for balance output
• Alnico 5 magnets add more focus and enhanced dynamics
• Period-correct cloth wire and fiber bobbin
• Installation hardware included
