We have in stock one of the most respected vintage reissues of a true guitar icon, this Fender American Vintage II 1957 Strat in the classic 2-Color Sunburst finish. It doesn't get much more classic! This particular one is in excellent shape and has actually never been played - it's "like new", in that the pickguard plastic is still on. It's a seriously great score for anyone like for a deal on a '57 Strat reissue.
The American Vintage series came about as way of reissuing the iconic guitars of Fender's rich history with period-correct appointments and attention to detail that had never been done for historic reproductions and this being the second generation they get even closer to the original instruments.
What you get are accurate specs and components that present everything that made these guitars popular. It's an iconic model because so many of the specs have become synonymous with the Strat and electric guitars as a whole. This American Vintage II 1957 Strat has an alder body with the original contour body. The 1-piece maple neck has the 1957 "V" neck with 7.25” radius Vintage Tall frets for the right feel mixed with easy playability. You get the period-correct hardware; synchronized tremolo, single-line vintage-style "Fender Deluxe" tuners.
Quite importantly, the American Vintage II instruments feature a sleek nitrocellulose lacquer finish for the tone and feel of the original Fender guitars. This series is the only one Fender does with a lacquer finish outside of the Custom Shop.
The pickups are the heart of this instrument and these are the Pure Vintage '57 Single-Coil Strat pickups which have been specifically voiced for this instrument to give you an authentic vintage Strat tone. All in all this guitar this is the perfect instrument for the player who desires what a vintage Strat is all about at a production level price.
The guitar comes with its original hardshell case and paperwork. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. For anyone looks for a deal on one of these, you've found it!
