At this year's NAMM show in Anaheim, Taylor put on an unforgettable dealer event on the rooftop of a hotel, showing a set of extremely limited and special guitars, known as the Catch Event.  Here, dozens of one-of-a-kind Taylor guitars were displayed.  We had the opportunity to participate and were fortunate to score a few guitars - this is one of them.  
 
Truetone is proud to present this one-of-a-kind Taylor Custom Grand Auditorium.  An amazing example of what the expert luthiers at Taylor can do, this guitar features back and sides of premium Indian Rosewood, completed with a hand-selected Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top.  You will rarely see Bearclaw on a Taylor, making this one rather unique.  Other custom appointments for this build include very unique Bloodwood binding, a single-ring Mother-of-Pearl / Bloodwood rosette and bound soundhole, and West African Crelicam ebony fretboard binding.  It doesn't stop there - the guitar also has Mother-of-Pearl / Bloodwood LB Pattern fretboard inlay and Stained Bone with Red Australian Opal Dots bridge pins.

Featuring Taylor's proprietary V-Class bracing, this guitar allows the soundboard to flex naturally while providing increased rigidity along the center. This technology increases volume and sustain, while creating a precise response from the soundboard. Resulting sounds are full, consistent and harmonious along the fretboard. V-Class represents a new design platform, adaptable to different body styles and capable of infusing each with its own sonic identity.  Additionally, the guitar is equipped with ES2 electronics (with Taylor Sense), for the best, "truest" tone possible when plugged in.  
 
The combination of Rosewood and Spruce for the body is as classic as it gets, and provides a striking sound that's full, balanced, and "tight".  It captures and amplifies the player's style and technique, with strong volume and tonal richness.
 
The Neo-tropical Mahogany neck has Taylor's Standard Carve neck profile and a 25-1/2" scale length. The neck is topped with a West African Crelicam Ebony fretboard.  It's incredibly smooth and easy to play, just as you'd expect from a Taylor like this.
