Used And Vintage Acoustic Guitars

We have an amazing Gibson Custom Shop Late '60s Hummingbird Heritage, a rare bird indeed.  Only 60 of these were made as a Limited Edition offering for the Japanese market - just a handful were made available in the U.S.  We confirmed that with Gibson's main man in Montana.  It's a hard guitar to find, and we believe that this is the only one of this exact guitar out for sale at this time.

This is a fine instrument from Gibson's illustrious Custom Shop and has spared no expense. The Hummingbird is an iconic square-shoulder acoustic that first became popular in the early 1960s. This guitar is not only inspired but it is in a way a recreation of the magic of those guitars. You get a large square shoulder mahogany body with a Adirondack Red Spruce top that is incredibly resonant, and has a pronounced midrange that is perfect for flatpicking and recording. If you love a 60s profile mahogany neck that has a 12" radius with a slimmer profile, this guitar has it.  This model specifically has the 14 degree headstock angle that was a featured in the late '60's.

This guitar maintains its historic roots with its traditional tuners, classic rosewood bridge, vintage-style binding, and of course the iconic Hummingbird etched pickguard, all with a gorgeous Vintage Cherry Sunburst finish.

This Hummingbird also comes with a LR Baggs VTC pickup/preamp perfect for plugging in and playing anywhere - and as good as it sounds acoustically, it sounds even better when amplified.  Whether at home, in the studio or on stage, this guitar will cover it all.

This wonderful guitar is in very good condition - there's a mark on the front as seen in the photos, and otherwise super clean.  The techs in our shop have a set it up to play perfectly.  The original hardshell case case is included, as is the official Certificate of Authenticity.

This is one of just 60 made, with only a few here in the U.S. (not to be confused with other listings that are of something entirely different).  We don't expect it to last long here - get it now before it floats away.
