Collings’ Traditional Series or "T-Series” guitars represent a vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics present in coveted pre-war instruments. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection.  

Hand-selected tone woods (Sitka Spruce top, East Indian Rosewood back & sides, Honduran Magogany neck and Ebony fretboard) provide premium tone and flavor, faciliating a very balanced sound that never gets boomy or shrill.  All of the solid woods are acquired acclimated and meticulously selected by the master luthiers at Collings.  Precise work by hand ensures the highest build standards and excellent playability.  The ultra thin nitro lacquer finish sanded to an even thinner thickness than standard Collings guitars, allowing the natural qualities of the wood to shine.

The new Traditional neck profile is based on the existing Vintage Now dimensions, but with a more distinct neck taper and rounded fingerboard edges for that wonderful played-in feel.  Premium Waveryly open gear tuners offer exceptional tuning stability and reliability with a vintage look.
