Pre Owned Guild F-512 Maple Blonde 12-String Acoustic Electric Guitar With OHSC
We just got in a prime example of one of the most iconic 12-string guitars ever made, the Guild F-512. This legendary guitar has been famously played by Tom Petty, David Gilmour and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and defined the 12-string sound in the 1960s and continues to be the most sought after 12-string models today.
This instrument was made in Southern California and was built with all the care and quality that made these instruments iconic. This guitar features its classic jumbo shape, with a solid Sitka spruce top and arched flame Maple back and sides. Its scalloped Adirondack spruce provide a warm tone with crystal clear highs and fantastic bass response perfectly suited for a 12-string guitar. This beautiful instrument is wonderfully adorned with Guild’s classic MOP V-block inlays, railroad track fingerboard purfling, and fully bound traditional headstock. With its Nitrocellouse finish compliments and enhances the tone over time.
This one in particular has been upgraded with a passive K&K pickup, which sounds excellent. So, while it began life as an F-512, one could say that it is now an F-512E.
This instrument is in pristine condition - the guitar came to us from a collector that only play it once or twice before bringing it to us. It comes with the original hardshell case as well as all of the paperwork and Certificate of Authenticity. It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop (especially important on a 12 string like this). For those that know 12 string acoustic guitars, it's nearly impossible to beat an American made Guild.
