Vintage 1979 Fender Vibro Champ with Upgraded Jensen Speaker Guitar Amp Combo

For fans of small amps, a Fender Vibro Champ can be the perfect little beast.  A vintage one from 1979 with an upgraded speaker?  The answer is yes.  After, 1979 is when Pink Floyd released The Wall, Sony came out with the Walkman, and the first Superman movie hit theaters.  Quite the year indeed - and that's when this amp was born.

Sometime during it's long life of nearly 45 years, the speaker was upgraded to a Jensen, which is a nice feature.  Other than the tubes, all else is original, including the transformer.  The amp did get played and moved around, as one would expect, so this is not a mint piece, but it's got plenty of character especially on the top right side.  Check out the photos.  Most importantly, it sounds great!  6 watts through an 8" speaker gets you a suprising amount of volume, and the tone is incredible.  Sure, you won't be playing The Forum with this amp, but for recording or just practice, it's perfect.  

The amp was recently serviced by veteran amp guru and local L.A. legend Greg Leon.  It's in perfect working order.  This is a great score at a great price!
