Built in Fano's US facilities, Oltre Series guitars are made to order – guitarists can choose from over 40 different finishes, as well as a range of distress levels, from new-old-stock (NOS) to heavy. The models can be further visually customized with a variety of pickguard colors and knob styles.   We started with the most popular platform - the JM6.  This offset body style has proven to be Fano's most sought after.   The Medium Distress finish package gives it the feel of a guitar that's been broken in, stood the test of time, and is ready to be played even more. It's tastefully done, as seen in the photos. We chose to do this one in Vintage Cream, and love the way it came out!

This guitar has the feel and vibe of an old vintage instrument but with some modern tweaks, upgrades and reliability.  The Alder body is light (the guitar weighs in at just 7.20 lbs) and resonant.  The relic work, in our opinion, is perfect - there are not many that can do it as well as Fano.  The Gold plexi pickguard and Cream radio knobs are a nice touch on this one.

The feel & playability of this guitar is incredible.  That's where Fano excels - while their guitars look super cool, it's all about the expert craftsmanship and super comfortable feel of the hand-shaped necks.  The 60's style C neck carve and 9.5 - 12" compound radius make this a breeze to play all the way up the neck.  The back of the neck is worn in, making it a breeze to play.  The Kluson-style tuners top it off, and it's all anchored by a Tone Pros bridge & tailpiece for enhanced tone & sustain.

Speaker of tone, this one kills.  At Fano's suggestion, we went with a unique pickup combination:  a Lollar P90 in the neck position, and a Lollar Imperial Humbucker in the bridge position.  Combined, you get a wide variety of tones that you really wouldn't find in other guitars.

The Lollar P90 is one of the most versatile single coil pickups made. It's designed to sound like the original vintage pickups, but with materials that will last the test of time. You get  warm, full tone with the clarity and articulation found with larger single coils from the late '50's, with a balanced output between positions and an expressive dynamic range.

The Lollar Imperial Humbucker was a a suggestion of Fano's Graham Dowling.  It's their  take on the original 1950s P.A.F. pickup. Designed to draw from the long revered qualities of the original P.A.F.s while improving on their frequency balance and giving a slight boost to the bridge pickup’s output, this could be our favorite humbucker out there.

Light and quick, this curvy beauty is made to respond to the touch. Get as rough or smooth as you like, as this one is built for comfort as well as speed.  Plain and simple, this JM6 is a great example of the amazing work being done at Fano with the Oltre series.  It comes with a premium Fano gig bag.
