 Truetone Music has been selected to take in a special collection of instruments from a very special long-time customer and friend of ours.  A collector of only unique, rare, vintage and high-end guitars & amps, he amassed a serious collection of these years.  For the first time, these pieces are available on the market for the first time.

Within this was a spectacular array of vintage amps, including this amazing 1966 Fender Pro Reverb.  All original, all intact, all primo - this is about as good of an example of a mid-60's Pro Reverb as you'll find out there.  It has the original parts, including the speakers and transformer.  It even has the original footswitch and cover, which rarely come with an amp like this.  More details are listed below.  We had this amp properly inspected and vetted by an outside source - an amp tech who is local L.A. legend and vintage expert.  Everything is straight and tested to good working order.


2 channels, dual 12" speakers, 40 watts, legendary reverb and unmatchable tone - that's what makes a Pro Reverb so special.  Some would say that it's essentially a dialed back Twin Reverb (smaller transformers, half the power tubes, etc.).  We'd say that the Pro Reverb has its own pedigree and reputation to uphold.  It's an amazing stage amp, especially for those that don't need the monstrosity of a Twin to lug around.  It's not just about the size and weight; the tone produced has its own signature.  It's the classic Black Panel sound, with a "saggier" sound that drives much earlier - the breakup comes at much more tolerable volumes.  You get more headroom and power than a Deluxe, but it's more manageable than a Twin.  In that sense, it's perfect for a lot of players.

The condition of this Pro Reverb is excellent.  Really, considering its age, it's beyond excellent.  Not to overstate it, but it's hard to find one as clean as this.  That, coupled with its originality (to say nothing of its magical tone), makes this a highly desirable piece.

We've had a ton of vintage Fender amps here over the years, and this one stands out as one of the cleanest and best.  It would be a fine addition to any vintage amp collection.
